Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Must be an Indian citizen, or
  • A subject of Nepal/Bhutan (with eligibility certificate from Government of India).

Age Limit (as of 01.08.2025)

  • Minimum: 20 years
  • Maximum: 25 years
  • Born between 02.08.2000 and 01.08.2005.

Relaxations:

  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • OBC – 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen – 3 years after deduction of military service
  • Departmental candidates of Delhi Police – up to 30/33/35 years (UR/OBC/SC-ST respectively).

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • For Male SI in Delhi Police, a valid LMV Driving License (Motorcycle & Car) is mandatory.

Application Process

  1. One-Time Registration (OTR): Candidates must register on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in).
  2. Mode: Online application through SSC portal or the mySSC mobile app.
  3. Fee: ₹100 (exempted for Women/SC/ST/ESM).

3. Paper-II (CBT)

  • Subject: English Language & Comprehension
  • 200 Questions, 200 Marks
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks

4. Medical Examination

  • Standards: 6/6 and 6/9 vision, no knock knees, varicose veins, or flat foot.

Physical Standards

  • Height (Male): 170 cm (relaxations for hill/tribal categories).
  • Height (Female): 157 cm (relaxations for hill/tribal categories).
  • Chest (Male): 80-85 cm (with expansion).
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

Selection Process

  1. Paper-I performance → Shortlisting for PET/PST.
  2. PET/PST → Qualifying nature.
  3. Paper-II performance.
  4. Medical Examination.
  5. Final Merit → Based on Paper-I + Paper-II + NCC bonus marks + post preferences.

NCC Bonus Marks:
